VVS above knee provide graduated compression which is strongest at the ankle and it gradually decreases as move up. This controlled stops any abnormal back flow of blood. They compress the outer walls of superficial veins to prevent variscose vein.

- Trun the stocking insideout up to the heel pocket.wear the foot portion of the stockingsup to the heel pocket and ensure that the heel is correctly placed in the heel pocket.
- Pull the remaining reversed portion up the leg. Ensure that the stocking is not pulled up at a stretch.
- Stop at regular internals to smoother in case of any wrinkles & continue pulling upwards.
- Once the product isworn smoothen out of wrinkleswith a gental upward motion of the end.
- Never over pull the stocking which will result im the information of tourniquet at the top.
